What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92 Points
(6/2025) Clos de Meixvelle is a monopole vineyard owned by Domaine Pierre Gelin since 1961. The vines, planted on alluvial soils with a limestone base, are over 70 years old and lead to a wine with classic Gevrey-Chambertin character of gorgeous dark berry fruits with incredible depth and a powerful, yet elegant structure.
What Critics Think
Wine Spectator : 92 Points
(9/2/2024) This enticing red is open and complex, delivering spicy cherry, roasted beet and earth notes, with a hint of rhubarb, all framed by oak spice. Firm, yet with viscosity and intensity. Shows fine balance and length. Drink now through 2036. 500 cases made.
