(5/16/2024) Although the final blend of the 2017 Gigondas ended up being approximately 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre (different than previously reported in the pre-bottling reviews), the wine is reassuringly excellent, with tarry accents to the bold blackberry and blueberry fruit. Full-bodied, creamy and even lush in feel on the palate, the wine finishes long, with a subtle touch of warmth and oodles of soft, dusty tannins. Drink Date: 2021 - 2033.
