What We Think
Vin Chicago: 93 Points
(4/2025) This fresh, exciting white Burgundy comes from Pierre-Henri Rougeot's vineyards in a little-known commune called Saint-Romain in the Côte de Beaune. While Rougeot is mainly known for his Meursault, it's here that we find the domaine's oldest vines, planted in the 1920s! This elegant Chardonnay sees 18 months of aging in new (15%) and older (85%) oak with no stirring of the lees. The 2022 vintage has concentrated notes of white flowers and citrus zest with a hint of nuttiness. These flavors play beautifully with the balanced acidity. This white is an exceptional Burgundy value-play!
