(7/11/2024) The white 2022 Lalume, one wine from Ribeiro, is harmonious, clean and expressive, with notes of pollen, yellow flowers and herbs. It has a round and soft palate that reflect a warm and dry year and comes through as more Mediterranean. It finishes dry, with tasty flavors. It was produced with a blend of Treixadura with 8% Albariño, 4% Godello and the remaining 2% Caíño Blanco, Loureira and Torrontés. It fermented in 600-liter barrels, 1,200- and 2,400-liter oak foudre and concrete eggs of different sizes plus some in stainless steel tank. It didn't go through malolactic fermentation. It matured in the fermentation vessels and then settled in stainless steel for a few months before bottling. It has a moderate 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.2, denoting freshness. Drink Date: 2024 - 2028.
