(7/24/2025) The wildest wine here is the 2023 Misturado, a blend of 65% red grapes and 35% white varieties from old vines in the zone of Alais (Paradavella), co-fermented in bins with 100% foot-trodden full clusters and with a maceration of 35 days, then matured in neutral 228- and 350-liter barrels. It finished at 12% alcohol and with good freshness. It has a perfumed nose of dried rose petals, with a cleanliness and precision that I hadn't seen in this cuvée before. The palate has an ethereal quality and almost unnoticeable tannins. This is a grown-up Misturado. 700 bottles and six magnums produced. Drink Date: 2025 - 2031.
