What We Think
Vin Chicago: 90 Points
(4/2026) Andrew Jones and his team have bottled another delicious red blend with the '24 vintage of Fiction. Sourced from vineyards around Paso Robles, including some fruit from the mountaintop Loomis Vineyard, this batch is a true kitchen sink blend. This latest concoction includes Cinsault (21%), Lagrein (17%), Cabernet Franc (14%), Charbono (13%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Sangiovese (9%), Alicante Bouschet (6%), Zinfandel (4%), Grenache (2%) and Trousseau (2%). Juicy and jammy, with peppery red, blue and black fruits, Fiction is soft and dangerously easy to drink, especially on weeknights when the grill has been fired up.
What Critics Think
Vinous - Eric Guido : 91 Points
(4/2026) The 2024 Fiction is spicy in the glass, blending peppery rose with violets, stone dust and citrus-infused blackberries. It sweeps across the palate with juicy waves of ripe wild berry fruit and a beguiling hint of nectarines. It tapers off with a lovely inner tension as tart cherry forces the senses to salivate and nuances of spice fade. The Fiction is a gastronomic kitchen-sink blend of ten black varieties. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2029.
