(7/2023) An outstanding wine on both the nose and palate, and at four years of age is really starting to show a nice veneer of secondary complexity. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a deep and complex mix of quince, apple, lanolin, beeswax, chalky soil tones, dried flowers and a touch of honeycomb in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and soil-driven in personality, with a rock solid core of fruit, a superb spine of acidity, great balance and grip and a long, complex and very serious finish. This is drinking very nicely at the moment, though it is really made for long-term aging and will be a much finer drink a decade or two down the road. Fine, fine juice. Drink between 2023 - 2075.
