What Critics Think
John Gilman : 92 Points
(10/2022) Composed from a cépages of eighty percent Nebbiolo and ten percent each of Vespolina and Croatina. The vines are farmed without chemical products, hand-harvested and the three varieties are generally harvested at the same time and co-fermented. Elevage is in large botti for eighteen months prior to assemblage prior to bottling. The 2017 comes in at a svelte 12.5 percent alcohol and offers up a beautifully refined bouquet of cherries, gamebird, complex soil tones, woodsmoke, brown spices and a topnote of dried roses. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and tangy, with a good core, excellent transparency and grip, fine-grained tannins and a long, complex and beautifully balanced finish. This is excellent young Bramaterra! Drink between 2027-2050.
