What Critics Think
Jeb Dunnuck : 97 Points
(12/22/2025) A blend of multiple sites, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall shows a saturated purple hue and offers smoky red and black fruits, graphite, tobacco, espresso roast, and chocolate. This puppy is full-bodied and has a deep, rich, opulent mouthfeel, remarkable purity, ripe, polished, chalky tannins, and a great finish. It's a powerful blockbuster styled beauty that brings the goods and will drink well over the coming 20-30 years. Drink 2025-2055.
The Wine Palate : 97 Points
(3/2026) Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot) sashays out with fragrant notes of violets, dried mint, star anise, and forest floor, leading to a core of blackcurrant pastilles and boysenberry preserves, plus a hint of Sichuan pepper. The full-bodied palate is plump yet energetic with a lively backbone and fine-grained tannins, finishing with a minerally lift. Nearly 50% of the fruit comes from Sacrache Vineyard this year. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2047.
