(11/2023) The 2022 Welschriesling & Weissburgunder Beerenauslese was harvested in the second half of November. It has a slight lift of botrytis and is slightly heady and smoky. It is blended because Welschriesling brings freshness while Weissburgunder brings body. The palate has honeyed richness and is super-sweet but also beautifully sharp with lemony yet honeyed acidity. Viscosity makes this intense with the full-on sweetness of candied apricot that comes with an overtone of mint. It is the freshness that defines the long finish. 160 g/L of sweetness stand against 6 g/L of acidity. (Luscious). Drinking Window: 2025 - 2040.
