(11/2024) The 2023 Furmint is from the Thurner and Vogelsang sites on the loamy sand called Ruster Schotter, or Ruster gravel, on the midslope. It fermented in both stainless steel and large 1,500-liter acacia barrels. The nose combines a slight, flinty reduction with lemon and chervil in a most winning fashion. The palate is like an arrow of bright, citrusy freshness, shooting with real verve and energy. The body is beautifully slender and yeasty on the creamy finish. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2035.
