Hill Family Estate "Barrel Blend" Napa Valley Red Wine 2021

2021 was a nice normal year, though rainfall was very scarce again, and crops were low, we are proud to present this Barrel Blend. 34% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Zinfandel, 13% Malbec, 10% Petit Sirah, 9% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Franc, aged 10 months in 15% new French oak. The wine had some big tannins and took a few blending sessions to fit the pieces together, but the 2021 Barrel Blend will provide entertainment and pleasure for years to come. A generous, creamy and dense red blend with notes of dark berries, dark plums, chocolate and grilled herbs. Full-bodied with creamy tannins and texture. Juicy with berries and a chocolatey finish.
