What Critics Think
James Suckling : 93 Points
(9/6/2024) A svelte, sultry wine that wafts plummy forest-like aromas over flavors of sour cherries, dark plums and mulled berries. Medium-bodied, nice and smooth in texture, lifted by light tannins and good acidity to keep it fresh and linear. Drink or hold.

(4/1/2025) Aromas of pomegranate, rose petal and black tea dominate the nose of this aromatic Pinot. The palate brings loads of floral energy with candied raspberry, sweet cinnamon and orange peel flavors that mingle with bouquets of purple flowers across the finish.

(7/2/2025) Pouring a deep magenta/ruby color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Y3 is an appellation wine coming from the Sonoma Coast. Juicy and ripe on the nose, with notes of mixed berry preserve, pressed flowers, and mossy earth, it continues with ease to the palate and is generous in its medium frame, with a fruity profile and a supple texture. It’s drinking wonderfully now, but it can cruise through the next 4-5 years. A fantastic value, it has all the stylistic decadence I come to expect from winemaker Kirk Venge. Maturity: 2025 - 2030.
