Kelley Fox Willamette Valley "Barbie" Pinot Blanc 2022

The Barbie 2022, named after my mom, is a pale, utterly transparent, youthful lemon yellow. This Pinot blanc from Freedom Hill Vineyard was whole cluster pressed on the day of picking and then racked to a stainless-steel tank for primary fermentation, after which it was racked to two neutral Acacia puncheons for elevage and malolactic fermentation. The nose is full of powdery minerals, ocean air, and light and fresh sweet lemon with hints of tropical flowers. This beauty is intense and has high-octave energy. The texture is lovely and the finish is very long. This one needs some time in the cellar.
