(5/11/2023) Broad, focused and sturdy, the 2018 Red Mountain Reserve is red-fruited with layers of dusty florals and ripe dark cherry tones. Full-bodied, the wine offers a mineral-laced palate with notions of oak spices followed by elements of dark cherry, dusty plum and crème de cassis with hints of caramelized currants. The wine concludes with a long, gripping finish that will remain food-friendly for years to come. Bravo!
