(4/17/2025) When we were recently visited by the winemakers from Slovenia's Kobal Family Winery, this was a real standout from the tasting. Made from the Blaufrankisch grape, the wine is fermented spontaneously in large vats, then rested in used oak for 6 months before bottling. Really aromatic with a darker fruit character of blackberry and plum, a touch of spice and a great freshness brought by the acidity and moderate alcohol. This is a great choice for roast pork or anything off the grill.
