(9/10/2026) The 2025 Village Chardonnay leads with banana and crushed cashew, musk sticks and preserved lemon. The palate is silky and full of flavor, and although not as complex or weighty as the other Chardonnay cuvées from this iconic New Zealand producer, it offers sensational intensity and value for money. This comes recommended, as usual. 13.3% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

(8/20/2026) Very fresh and pure apple fruit shows with spicy, tarragon-like herbs and a flinty, stony edge. Medium-bodied, delicate and crisp at the same time, with a tense minerality running the length of the palate to a long, precise finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Kumeu and Hawke’s Bay. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
