(6/26) From incredibly steep-sloped, old vine vineyards on limestone soils the wine is fermented in large, oval 'Stückfass' oak vessels which resemble the iconic 'Bocksbeutel' bottle shape. This amazing Silvaner from Leipold is not only delicious but has lots of depth with wonderful textures and mouthfeel. Really layered flavors of citrus, orchard and stone fruits and a really long, captivating finish. Great acidiy, fresh minerality and a deceptive richness on the palate – it’s a white wine that ticks all the boxes. Versatile at the table - try with seafood, something spicy, chicken or pork dishes.
