Winemaker's Notes
An own-rooted, old-vine, mixed vineyard planted in 1905. We were told this is Grenache Noir, but it is more likely Cinsault, with a tiny amount of Rose of Peru and about 25 Alicanted vines. 16 days maceration with a crazy ratio of stem to fruit, around 50% stem and 50% fruit by weight. It's light, but still an intense, leathery, red wine. Like ethereal alpine Nebbiolo.
