Winemaker's Notes

Old vine, own-rooted, head-trained vineyard planted to 100% Zinfandel in 1918, at the onset of Prohibition, for home winemaking by European immigrants from the East Coast. Foot-stomped then pressed immediately, using our Chiara method - without a press. Somewhat dark in color in spite of only minutes of skin-contact but light and playful, utterly charming and serious all at once. Exuberant but disciplined.
