What We Think
Vin Chicago: 91 Points
(2/2026) One of Italy's greatest white wines hails from the little known zone of Roero, in the northwestern region of Piedmont. When well made, Roero Arneis carries the minerality of Chablis with the fruit generosity of Pinot Grigio, often built on a sturdy frame of acidity and tension. This super smartly priced example comes from Marco Bonafante, a value forward grower known for their solid reds. We love this white for the salinity, the layered orchard and citrus fruits and, of course, the mouthwatering tastiness.

(5/23/2024) A fresh and tangy white that has aromas and flavors of sliced lemons, crushed stones and fresh melon. It’s medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing with a minerally finish. Drink now.
