Vin Chicago: 90+ Points
(1/2026) A shimmering, red-fruited Northern Rhone Syrah with less 'sauvage' and meatiness than many - this one is downright pretty! From just 1.5 hectares of vineyard around the commune of Tupin-et-Semons, it's a floral red with notes of cured peppercorn, roasted soil, black raspberry, bergamot tea and dried blackberry powder - refreshingly gliding along rather than pounding the pavement. The tannin is interwoven in the racy finish, but elegantly - and this is the kind of Syrah that can pair-down with trout and salmon, but also catch leaner red meats like bison and venison.
