What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92+ Points
(8/2026) WOW! Brunello for THIS price? Quite good, worthy today of a decanter, and can unwind in cellar for 4-6 years. Well-balanced with concentration to its classic red fruit and complexity through spice and earth tones - with notes of tobacco, prosciutto and great minerality.
What Critics Think
Vinous - Eric Guido : 93 Points
(2/2025) The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino is graceful and nuanced, with sweet rose and violet florals giving way to wild strawberries and crushed stone. Soft-textured and lifted in style, it boasts crisp mineral tones and citrus-laced red berry fruits. The 2020 tapers off perfumed, leaving a vivid note of cherry pit and minty herbs on the close. Delicate tannins provide a tactile yet only lightly structured feel. This is remarkably pretty. It’s a total success for the vintage. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2032.

(6/13/2025) Aromas of ripe, almost jammy cherries balanced by graceful licorice, wax and smoke notes. Ripe, evolved and condensed tannins with a chalky texture in the finish. Full-bodied with crisp acidity and a balanced aftertaste. Drink or hold.
