Tchotiashvili "Limited - Dry Qvevri-Aged Amber" Kakheti Khikhvi 2020

This unadorned amber wine is aged in buried clay vessels known in Georgia as Qvevri. It's traditional in the Kakheti region and this white wine is skin macerated underground for an astonishing 240 days before unfiltered bottling. Deep amber with holden hues to its color informs aromas with white and yellow florals, with hints of honey and delicate citrus. A rich, structured palate has well-balanced acidity and features notes of dried fruit, hazelnut, honey and spice. Pairs with hearty mushroom, meat and seafood mains - and semi-mature cheeses. Serve above cellar temperature.
