(5/2014) The 2011 Tenuta di Valgiano is super-ripe and intense to the core. Black fruit, leather, smoke, tobacco, blackberry jam and sage all flow effortlessly. Ideally, readers should cellar the 2011 for another year or two to allow some of the baby fat to melt away. The Tenuta di Valgiano is succulent and voluptuous, very much in the style of the year. Drinking window 2015 - 2026.
