What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92+ Points
(7/2026) If Cab in this range can be all things to all people - this is it. It has explosive, come hither aromatics, great backbone and energy through a long finish with no lack of fresh fruit resonating throughout. No excesses, and upside!
What Critics Think
Decanter : 93 Points
(11/14/2025) From two Rattlesnake Hills sites, this Cabernet Sauvignon stays true to the variety, offering plenty of herbal freshness alongside lovely red and black fruits. This wine, from the Schmidt and Portteus Vineyards, was tasted from bottle 1747. Aromas of desert pine, wild lavender and currant jam alight the glass. The palate offers fresh red berries, dried strawberries and mint with notes of clove and star anise. It's fresh and delicious and perfect for food. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2033.
James Suckling : 97 Points
(4/25/2026) Elegant and spicy, with a silky texture and mouthwatering acidity and tannins. Red and black tea, savory mountain herbs, tobacco and crushed roses on the palate. Really good. Drink or hold.
