(11/21/2024) The Val di Suga 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Lago is born in a vineyard with clay soil, and it offers extra textural heft and dark fruit concentration as a result. The bouquet opens to pressed blackberry aromas, and it also shows dried spice, tobacco and something that reminds me of granola or toasted multigrain bread. The wine's profile is wide and broad in approach, unlike the Poggio al Granchio that is more vertical in personality. 8,000 bottles were created.
