(7/10/2025) The young unoaked red 2024 Pago de Valdoneje fermented and matured in stainless steel. It's juicy, ripe and tender, with 13.9% alcohol, a pH of 3.72 and 5.6 grams of acidity, the benchmark for young, fruit-driven Mencía in Bierzo. It's a very consistent wine year after year. Only 60,000 bottles were produced because of hail, whereas they produced 85,000 the year before. It was bottled in May 2025. Drink Date: 2025 - 2029.
