(8/17/2026) The 2024 Pinot Noir Apple Field Vineyard is a more saturated yet youthful red and benefits from a few minutes in the glass to allow the reduction to blow off. Aromas of boysenberry, huckleberry, dried lavender, and juniper emerge with air. Medium to full-bodied, it has incredible structure, insane definition, and remarkable purity, with a finish that lingers effortlessly. This is a stunning wine that can age another 20 years. Drink 2026-2050.
James Suckling : 96 Points
(7/13/2026) Aromas of juicy black cherries, marionberries, bittersweet herbs, baking chocolate and fertile forest floor. It smells wonderful and changes a lot in the glass. Medium-bodied with fresh blackberries, some higher-toned red berries and fine, chalky cocoa tannins. From biodynamically grown grapes.
International Wine Report : 95 Points
(8/2026) Boysenberry and elderberry lead the 2024 White Walnut Apple Field Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, dark-fruited and immediately forthcoming, with dried hibiscus and a pinch of mace lifting the top. A clear ruby thinning to a lighter red at the rim, it moves onto the palate without resistance, the tannins sitting close and fine underneath. Black olive and basalt run beneath the fruit, giving the middle a savory pull that keeps the wine from reading as simply generous. The finish is long and quietly structured, and there is enough underneath for this to put on weight over the next several years. 152 cases were produced. Drink 2026 - 2036.
