(7/10/2026) Aromas of lemon meringue, white peaches, spiced green pears and vanilla blossoms. Medium- to full-bodied with a luscious, juicy texture and a mix of citrus and stone fruit. Sumptuous and delicious. Drink or hold.

(8/17/2026) Budbreak in 2024 came nearly a month earlier than in 2023. (Chris compares the two vintages to 1998 and 1999.) I love the nose on the 2024 Chardonnay Dundee Hills. Bright pale yellow in color, it opens with green pear, spearmint, flinty reduction, chalky nuttiness, lime zest, and lemon. Full-bodied yet vertical and long, it has outstanding salinity, vibrant energy, and electric tension. The acidity is even higher than in 2023. A gorgeous appellation wine that drinks far above its level, drink it over the coming 8-10 years. Maturity: 2026 - 2036.
International Wine Report : 94 Points
(8/2026) Grown in the Dundee Hills, the 2024 White Walnut Chardonnay displays a glowing light lemon core surrounded by a sleek silvery rim, having spent 12 months in barrel with subtle oak influence before maturing in stainless steel for four months. Engaging aromas of crisp lemon zest, sliced bruised apple, and ripe yellow peach emerge alongside an underpinning of crushed volcanic rock. On the medium-to-full-bodied palate, high acidity provides energetic drive, giving way to an intriguing touch of umami across the back palate. Delivering incredible quality for its price point, the wine closes with a long, stone-laced finish. Drink 2026 - 2034.
