(4/2014) The 2012 Gran Terroir Pinot Noir is 100% whole-cluster fermented in open barrels, and aged in French oak for around one year. It is slightly darker than the Terroir Unico, and also has more depth, elegance and subtlety. This is from a vineyard with slow maturation, and the grapes ripen one month later than the rest of Pinots from the region. Pure and clean, it is made in a Chambolle style that mixes flowers, spices and red berries in a light, fresh palate that is very lively and long. Great! Drink 2014-2017.
