92+ Our Score (11/2019)
92 Jeb Dunnuck (9/26/2018) "The base 2016 Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail offers the house style with a slightly more classical feel. Black raspberries, cassis, garrigue, and cedary spice notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, fresh, elegant Gigondas that has tons of character and charm. A blend of 70% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsault, aged 60% in tank and 40% in used demi-muids, drink it anytime over the coming decade. Maturity: 2018 - 2028"
93 Wine Spectator (11/30/2018) "This has beautiful raspberry puree, cassis and plum sauce flavors forming the core and stretching out nicely while anise, black tea and violet notes fill in throughout. Has grip, but with a bright feel due to fresh acidity. Approachable already, but there's no rush. Drink now through 2028. 1,800 cases made, 180 cases imported."
91 Vinous, Josh Raynolds (4/2018) "Brilliant ruby. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, cherry liqueur and candied flowers are energized by a smoky mineral topnote. Gently sweet and focused on the palate, offering juicy red and blue fruit flavors that deepen and spread out steadily with aeration. Shows candied licorice and allspice notes on a long, sappy finish that features smooth tannins and a lingering floral note. Drinking window: 2024 - 2030"

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!

Turn left on Elston and drive for just over a quarter mile. We'll be on the left side of the road just after the rail overpass. Parking is on-street, right in front of the store!
