Herman Story Wines Bien Nacido Vineyard Santa Maria Valley Syrah 2016
Color: Red
Country/State: California
Varietal: Syrah
Sub-Region: Santa Maria Valley
Region: Central Coast
94 Vinous, Josh Raynolds (2/2020) "Bright purple. Pungent dark berries, Moroccan spices, mocha, cola, olive paste and potpourri on the powerfully scented nose. Smooth, juicy and expansive on the palate, showing lush blueberry, cherry, fruitcake and floral pastille qualities and a touch of star anise. Unapologetically rich but at the same time energetic in style, finishing with impressive tenacity and repeating dark berry, vanilla and floral notes on a very long, youthfully tannic finish. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2035"
96 Jeb Dunnuck (10/31/2019) "All Syrah from one of the great sites in the Santa Maria Valley, aged 30 months in new French oak, the 2016 Syrah Bien Nacido offers an awesome bouquet of red and black fruits, lavender, olive tapenade, peppered raw meat, and the classic minerality and salinity that this site always seems to produce. Deep, full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and concentrated, it stays light on its feet and has fine tannins that are followed by a great finish. It's another stunning wine from this team. Maturity: 2019 - 2029"

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!

Turn left on Elston and drive for just over a quarter mile. We'll be on the left side of the road just after the rail overpass. Parking is on-street, right in front of the store!
