Favia "Cerro Sur" Napa Valley Red 2013

Email
Sub-Region: Napa Valley
Region: North Coast
Color: Red
Country/State: California
Varietal: Red Blend
95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni (10/2015) "The 2013 Cerro Sur is deep, powerful and explosive. Black cherry, smoke, mocha and licorice are some of the notes that are fused together in Favia's Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Ample and generous on the palate, the 2013 is going to need at least a few years to settle down, as the tannins are imposing today. Dark red and black-fleshed fruit, iron, smoke and graphite add nuance on the tense, salivating finish. Cerro Sur is 84% Cabernet Franc from Rancho Chimiles and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon from Meteor. Drinking window: 2020 - 2033."
98 Wine Advocate (12/30/2015) "What a gorgeous effort with layers of concentrated black cherry and blackcurrant fruit and blueberries are present in this full-bodied, opulent and voluptuously textured wine. Like its siblings, the impeccable purity and brilliant craftsmanship integrating tannin and acidity, new oak and alcohol into a high-fashion wine is obvious in this rich, potentially blockbuster and age-worthy wine. This is a sensational effort to drink over the next 25 years."

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
