90/100 - Our Score (2/2021) "Rojo Grande" is a "sometimes" blend that began being produced at Whitcraft by Drake's father Chris in 1999. This current iteration is just your typical Lagrein and Syrah blend. Checking in at a discrete 12.83% the result is actually lighter-handed than you would expect, given what these grape varities deliver in their respective hinterlands. Pure, bright and expressive, you're presented with wild cherry, clay, brambleberry, lavender, violet and brown spices. This lively red would be lovely with carnitas right now.
