94 Wine Advocate (8/13/2020) "The 2019 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spatlese is precise, fresh and pure on the nose that displays notes grated lemon rind and crushed stones. Round, piquant and juicy on the palate, this is an utterly refined yet sustainable and firmly structured Spatlese with dense and vibrating fresh Riesling fruit whose sweetness is well-compensated by mineral grip, salinity and tension. 7.5% alcohol. Drink Date: 2025 - 2050."
95 James Suckling (9/16/2020) "Play me a love song to the Mosel! Super fresh and super precise, this Spatlese has a ton of floral delight and a wonderful interplay of the most delicate, white and yellow character with vibrant acidity. Such a clean, filigree finish you want to bathe in it. Drink or hold."
94 Mosel Fine Wines (5/1/2020) "The 2019er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spatlese was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It captures one's attention with a quite primary, smoky, and floral nose of white peach, herbs, grapefruit, citrus, and lots of spices. The wine develops some succulent yellow and canned fruits as well as a hint of apricot cream on the direct palate. All these elements are well wrapped into a dynamic and focused acidity, which whips up the flavors in the long and delicately fruity and honeyed finish. This wine needs a good decade to integrate its touch of upfront richness and sweetness on the palate, but everything is present for a great Spatlese at maturity. Maturity: 2029-2049."
95 John Gilman (7/1/2020) "The 2019 Himmelreich Spatlese AP #8 from the Schaefer family is a really classic and flat out delicious example of its Pradikat level and terroir. The wine comes in at 7.5 percent alcohol and offers up a vibrant, complex bouquet of lime, tangerine, lovely slate minerality, bee pollen, apple blossoms and a topnote of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is crisp, medium-full and succulent on the attack, with a lovely core, fine mineral drive and focus, bright acids and a long, complex and seamlessly balanced, bouncy finish. This is simply gorgeous wine. Drink between 2020-2065."

If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
