Amapola Creek Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Sub-Region: Moon Mountain District
Region: North Coast
Color: Red
Country/State: California
92+ Jeb Dunnuck (6/14/2019) "From estate fruit in the Moon Mountain AVA and brought up in new and used French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (there's 7% Petit Verdot) gives up a deep ruby/plum color as well as a beautiful perfume of cassis, sandalwood, menthol, and lead pencil shavings. This medium-bodied, seamlessly textured, balanced Sonoma Cabernet has bright acidity, moderate depth yet terrific balance, and a clean, classy finish. It's going to continue drinking nicely for a solid 15-20 years. Maturity: 2019 - 2039."
94 Wine Advocate (4/9/2020) "A blend of of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color and tantalizing scents of plum pudding, creme de cassis and blueberry pie with touches of hoisin, licorice, sandalwood and cedar chest plus a hint of cloves. The palate is big, concentrated and full-bodied, laden with black and blue fruit preserves and framed by ripe, grainy tannins, finishing wonderfully long and spicy. 1,740 cases were made. Drink Date: 2020 - 2040."

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
