Varietal: Nerello Mascalese
Sub-Region: Etna
Region: Sicily
Color: Red
Country/State: Italy
95 James Suckling (9/2/2018) "Vivid aromas of dried strawberries and cherries with some flowers, following through to a full body, very silky and creamy tannins and a long and flavorful finish. A savory undertone to the wine. Drink now or hold."
92 Wine Advocate (5/31/2019) "This light- to medium-bodied red exudes exotic spice and incense notes, drawing you into the flavors of dried cherry, thyme and licorice. Fresh and chewy, with a long-lasting salty, minerally finish. Drink now through 2026. 250 cases made, 100 cases imported."
91+ Vinous, Ian D'Agata (8/2019) "Good full red. Menthol, violet and red cherry aromas are deep and flinty. Then similar flavors in the mouth, boasting a multifaceted personality. Closes long and lovely. This is very different from the 2016 Etna Rosso which is rounder and sweeter, but this is much deeper. Wines from Moganazzi tend to be showy early, ready to drink and spicy, but there's no need to rush to drink this. Drinking Window: 2021 - 2028."

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
