95 Wine Advocate (5/13/2021) "The only dry wine from the vintage is the 2020 Vouvray Le Mont Sec, whose tank sample shows a classy, pure, precise and chalky/lemony bouquet with bright and perfectly healthy fruit and some herbal as well as yeasty aromas. On the palate, this is a dense, fabulously juicy, fruity and elegant Chenin whose immediate attraction and pure finesse initially reminds me of Riesling, whereas the texture is too rich and the salty and finely tannic finish too intense and powerful for Riesling. With more aeration, the Le Mont gets more and more intense and complex but also, tannic-wise, more wild. The 2020 has great tension, energy and grip and is highly promising. Drink Date: 2025 - 2055."
94+ John Gilman (4/1/2021) "In the 2020 vintage, the only Sec bottling produced by Domaine Huet is the Le Mont Sec and it is an absolute beauty. The bouquet is young, tight and relatively inexpressive when first opened, but with some aeration, it blossoms to offer scents of lemon, quince, a touch of pink grapefruit, beeswax, chalky soil tones, citrus peel and a topnote of white flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and seamless in balance, with a rock solid core of fruit, beautiful mineral drive and grip, zesty acids and a very long, pure and promising finish. I love the balance of this wine, which augurs very well for its evolution with bottle age. As I am tasting it very early on in its post-bottling evolution (the wine will not be in the market for at least a couple of months), it is possible that it will behave in typical fashion and be a bit more open when it first ships in from France, so that it offers up a year or two when it is wide open and drinks beautifully in its first blush of youth. After this, the domaine's Sec bottlings usually shut down for a half dozen years or so and the return in full bloom. Drink between 2021-2070."
96 Vinous, Rebecca Gibb (3/2021) "White flowers, pineapple and just-ripe pear combine in the 2020 Le Mont Sec from Huet, which offers just enough youthful puppy fat on the concentrated midpalate before finishing with mouthwatering acidity providing precision and line. It delivers intensity of fruit, yet it's light on its feet. Fine phenolics offer a delicate but self-assured sense of structure and poise. Delightfully balanced, and better a day after opening. Drinking Window: 2021 - 2033."

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
