This gorgeous Ballard Canyon red is simply dripping with pure, rich fruit. A year ago we featured it for $24.79 and loved it at that price. We just reloaded and offer it now for several bucks less!
93 Our Score (7/2018) At a recent Vin Chicago tasting of over 80 bottles, the 2016 Beckmen "Purisma Mountain Vineyard" Syrah was the uncontested wine-of-the-day. If you like 'em big and bold yet elegant and complex, this is for you. There's an unbelievable flavor complexity here, with bacon, grilled meat, blackberry, hints of pepper, dark chocolate and a graphite minerality all making notable contributions. While powerful and fleshy in the mouth, the finish is soft, smooth and oh-so-silky. A great wine for grilled flank steak or sticky sauced ribs. This one is very special. (California)
93 Vinous, Antonio Galloni (9/2018) "The 2016 Syrah Purisima Mountain Vineyard is a blend of all the blocks on the property. Powerful and deep, the 2016 has quite a bit of tannic clout behind all the fruit. Today, the 2016 is naturally very primary, but it should be terrific with another few years in bottle. All of the elements are in place for that to happen. Drink 2020 - 2028."
93 Jeb Dunnuck The 2016 Syrah Purisima Mountain is a blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier that was aged 16 months in 40% new French oak. Deep ruby/purple-colored, with attractive notes of black fruits, smoked herbs, bacon fat, and pepper, it's medium to full-bodied, ripe and polished, with tons of fruit as well as underlying structured and depth. It's a smoking Syrah as well as a great value.

If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
