90 Wine Advocate (1/31/2019) "Waxed citrus rind marks the nose of the 2016 Semillon. This light-bodied wine is crisp and lemony, with the merest hints of green apple and straw plus something herbal that's akin to lemon thyme. It makes up for a lack of mid-palate texture with plenty of length and intensity on the finish. Drink now or hold 5-6 years."
91 James Suckling (7/27/2016) "A gently grassy, restrained and stony nose on this young semillon, the palate has impressive concentrated flavor and fine acid structure, classically styled, made for drinking now or with age. Superb wine."
91+ Our Score (7/2018) If you've not experienced a young, well-made Hunter Valley Semillon, you are in for a treat! For the first 2 to 3 years of their lives, Semillons from Hunter Valley are lean and green, with more than a little bit of zip. Given 4 to 10 years of age, they develop a wonderful round texture and a complex array of secondary flavors including honey, nuts and distinct floral notes. For now, this 11.5% ABV offering is tight and brisk, giving intense citrus and green apple flavors along with lively acidity. Serve this wine with food, the same way you might do with a bone-dry Champagne. Great pairings include sushi, salads and spicy Thai.

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
