(3/2019) Don't let the simple "Bourgogne" appellation fool you on this gorgeous red Burgundy from David Duband. The grapes that go into this wine are from 40-year-old vines located in Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-St. Denis. They are picked and sorted by hand and then fermented with 40% whole clusters. Gentle aging in French oak barrels, 30% which are new, lends to the silky and soft texture. The wine is clean and fresh red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries, raspberry and pomegranate are accented by beautiful red floral tones and subtle oak spices. Elegant and totally delicious to drink, this beauty is priced right in the sweet spot for a red Burgundy of this quality.
