Email
Country/State: Italy
Color: Red
Region: Piedmont
Sub-Region: Barolo
Varietal: Nebbiolo
95 Our Score (9/2016) Entirely expressive, and drinkable now with a good decanting, this young wine is immediately recognizable as very high quality Barolo. Revealing complex flavors of flowers, dried red berries, soil, earth, mushroom, leaves and lifted minerality, it showcases the sexy side of Barolo with a wonderfully silky texture followed by gorgeous, concentrated tannins.
94 Vinous, Antonio Galloni (3/2015) "Lavender, mint, sage, smoke, tobacco and plums are all laced together in the 2011 Barolo Brea Vigna Ca'Mia. As always, the Ca'Mia is a decidedly vertical Barolo built on a spine of persistent tannin, but in 2011 there is a little bit of added polish that serves to soften the contours. Tucked off the main road, Brea remains one of the least well-known vineyards in Serralunga. The 2011 is a great wine to start exploring some of the nuances of this site. A huge finish that brings together power and voluptuousness captures the pure radiance of the year. Drinking window 2019 - 2036."

Our store is on Old Skokie Road which is the frontage road on the west side of Rt. 41. We are 400 yards south of Deerfield Rd/Central Avenue. If you know where Williams Ski & Patio or Rick's Auto Body are located, we're on the same street; just about a few hundred yards to the south. If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!

We're on Elston Avenue, just off of the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94). Take the North Avenue exit and head east. Elston Avenue is the first stoplight that you'll come to. Turn left on Elston and drive for just over a quarter mile. We'll be on the left side of the road just after the rail overpass. Parking is on-street, right in front of the store!
