92 John Gilman (8/2017) "The 2015 Belle Pente Vineyard bottling of chardonnay from Brianne Day is barrel-fermented and aged in about twenty fifteen percent new oak (one new, five hundred liter puncheon and four older Burgundy casks) and has a leisurely nineteen month elevage prior to bottling in the Day cellars. The wine is an excellent example, offering up a fresh and vibrant bouquet of apple, pear, fresh almond, chalky soil tones, a nice touch of spice, gentle floral scents and a touch of buttery oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full, crisp and beautifully balanced, with a fine core, impressive focus and grip and a long, zesty and complex finish. Very good chard. 2017-2023."
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds (2/2018) "Brilliant green-tinged straw-yellow. Fresh pear, melon and lemon pith aromas are complemented by suggestions of white flowers, vanilla and buttered toast. Fleshy and energetic in the mouth, offering ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors that tighten up and pick up a minerally element with aeration. Finishes with solid grip, a repeating floral note and strong, sappy persistence."
92 Our Score (8/2017) Belle Pente Vineyard is biodynamically farmed and a source of incredibly high quality fruit. Brianne Day took that fruit and made a masterpiece. The wine was aged for 19 months in four barrels, only one of which was new oak. The oak is hardly noticed as the wine is full of pure and clean flavors of apple and pear with notes of lemon peel and minerals. The body is medium and the mouthwatering acidity leads everything towards a long and crisp finish. Pour this one blind for your friends and see how many of them guess this as Chablis!

If you are not familiar with the area, best to use GPS or some online directions because our store is a bit tricky to find!
