Chateau Pichon Lalande Pauillac 2009

96 James Suckling
95 Wine Advocate
(2/2012) "A beautiful effort, the 2009 Pichon Lalande, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, possesses copious mocha, lead pencil, unsmoked, high class tobacco, black currant, forest floor and herbaceous characteristics. It is a deep purple-hued, charming, surprisingly open-knit Pauillac with wonderful freshness, a plump, fleshy mouthfeel, opulence and unctuosity, medium to full body and a well-delineated, luscious style. More elegant than its nearby neighbor, Pichon Longueville Baron, and not as massive in concentration and extract, it is one of the great Pichon Lalandes of the last twenty years."

Poggerino "Bugialla" Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 3.0 LT

96 Wine Spectator
(8/1/2018) "A mix of pure cherry and cigar humidor aromas lead off, with the cherry theme continuing, supported by rosemary, iron and tar flavors. Big, burly tannins line the finish and should carry this wine for another few decades. Best from 2023 through 2040. 900 cases made."

Fattoria Le Pupille "Saffredi" Proprietary Blend 2015

(8/29/2017) "I love the currant and rosemary character of this wine. Some sage, too. Complex aromas that draw you in. Full body, extremely tight and chewy with a long and intense finish. The tannins are fantastic - so polished. Focused and beautiful. Mineral undertone with ash and hot stone highlighting the dark fruits. It goes on for minutes. Needs three or four years to come together. But a serious red all the way."

Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

96 James Suckling
96 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
98+ Wine Advocate
(10/29/2018) "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon has a drop-dead gorgeous nose of Sichuan pepper, hoisin, peppered salami and fertile loam over a core of blackberry preserves and redcurrant jelly with touches of kirsch and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated yet still maintaining that wonderful purity and elegance that is the signature of this estate, it has layer upon layer of earthy nuances and a very long finish. Drink 2021 - 2050."

Chateau Pontet-Canet Pauillac 2016

98 Wine Advocate
100 Wine Enthusiast
98+ Jeb Dunnuck
(2/28/2019) "Reminding me of the 2010 and, I suspect, a wine that will merit a triple-digit rating in a decade or so (I tasted this on multiple occasions and thought it was perfect on one of them), the 2016 Chateau Pontet-Canet comes from 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Petit Verdot that spent 16 months in 50% new French oak, 35% in concrete amphora, and the rest in second fill oak. Thrilling notes of pure creme de cassis, lead pencil shavings, crushed mint, graphite, and crushed rock notes all emerge from this deep, powerful, yet elegant Pauillac. The style of this wine has become more and more finesse-driven and pure, yet it hasn't lost a beat on concentration or length. This singular, beautiful Pontet-Canet needs 7-8 years of cellaring (it has some accessibility today given its purity and balance) and will keep for 4-5 decades. Maturity 2026 - 2076."

Clos i Terrasses "Clos Erasmus" Priorat 2016

99 Jeb Dunnuck
(4/3/2019) "Not far off the magical 2013, the 2016 Clos Erasmus shows the purity and freshness of the vintage yet backs it up with rock star depth of fruit and richness. A huge nose of blueberries, creme de cassis, blood orange, and violets give way to a full-bodied Priorat that has flawless balance and purity, a stacked mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a finish that goes on for over a minute. This is pure, elegant, yet powerful Priorat at its finest. The 2016 is a blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah that spent 18 months in 40% new oak. Give bottles 2-3 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following 15-20 years. Maturity 2021 - 2041."

Domaine Pierre Gelin Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2015

95 Wine Spectator
(5/31/2018) "Though packed with cherry and black currant fruit, this red is impenetrable and cloaked in spicy oak. With air, the mineral core emerges and builds to a long finish. In time, all the elements will come together. Best from 2024 through 2042. 55 cases imported."

Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Don't miss this new vintage of the best Caymus has to offer!
Winemaker's Notes
"Caymus Special Selection is the flagship wine of the Wagner family and is comprised of the very best barrels of the vintage. This wine is not produced in difficult years. Leaving the fruit to "hang" on the vine unusually long develops suppleness, increases color, and matures the tannins of the grapes. The wines are abundant in textural tannins yet soft as velvet. Crop thinning, allowing measured sunlight to reach the vine's fruit zone, and waiting for increased ripeness are all part of our viticultural practices. Caymus Cabernets offer a wide array of aromas and flavors including cocoa, cassis and vanilla."

Quintessa Rutherford Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2014

97 James Suckling
94 Wine Advocate
(10/28/2016) "A beautiful floral, black raspberry and blackcurrant nose soars from this dense ruby/purple wine. Medium-bodied, beautifully rich and layered, the emphasis is on discreet yet intense flavors, power allied with elegance, and wonderfully supple, lush tannins. This wine has great balance, purity, and presence on the palate and should evolve beautifully for two decades or more. Drink Date 2016 - 2036."

Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

99 Jeb Dunnuck
(4/5/2018) "The flagship is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon mostly from Champoux with the balance from Palengat and Wallula vineyards. Crème de cassis, graphite, black licorice, unsmoked tobacco, and hints of chocolate and emerge from this beauty and it continues to gain depth and nuance with time in the glass. Full-bodied, deep, and layered with an incredible purity and elegance on the palate, it's already accessible but has more than enough tannin, depth, and balance to evolve for two decades or more. Maturity: 2018 - 2043."
