2013 Napa Valley Library Release from Inglenook at a BONKERS price!

2013 Napa Valley Library Release from Inglenook at a BONKERS price!

Purchased by Gustave Niebaum in 1879 and taken to brilliance in the 1940s and 1950s by his grandnephew, John Daniel Jr., the historic Inglenook property is one of the most enduring and legendary estates of Napa Valley. Today, we bring you a rare library release from this great winery.

"The 2013s show why the vintage is one of the very best in recent times."
- Antonio Galloni, September 2016

Given the superlative nature of the 2013 vintage and a decade's worth of outstanding reviews from Antonio Galloni, we pounced on the entire Illinois allocation for the 2013 Inglenook Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. We bring it to you today for a price that is lower than release for the current vintage!

Read on for the full story, and for a gorgeous white from California rising star Jordan Fiorentini, then hammer down fast on the Big Green Button while our supplies last.

=============

2013 Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon
Rutherford, Napa Valley, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
Composed of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot, the 2013 Inglenook Cabernet represents an apogee for the modern period of this legendary estate, tying it back to the iconic wines of the 1940s and 1950s.
Upon release in 2015, Antonio Galloni awarded a gushing 95-Point review. A year later, he bumped his score even a point higher, impressively noting that...
"A powerful, vibrant wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon shows the pedigree of this historic Rutherford vineyard."
- Antonio Galloni, September 2016
Now, he has tasted and reviewed the 2013 Inglenook for a third time, writing that this beautiful Cab "may surpass the Rubicon" from this excellent vintage. That's quite a statement given the winery's $300 price for that pinnacle bottling. At $89.99, this special library release is an INCREDIBLE Napa Cab opportunity.
September 2015:
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is exquisitely layered and nuanced, yet also captures plenty of the vintage's intensity and pure power. Inky dark fruit, licorice, dark spices, menthol and new leather are all laced together in a super attractive, mid-weight wine loaded with nuance and personality. With time in the glass, the 2013 blossoms nicely and acquires more savory, cedar, tobacco and underbrush notes. Drinking Window 2018-2038.”
          - 95 Points, Vinous - Antonio Galloni (9/2015)
September 2016:
"A powerful, vibrant wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon shows the pedigree of this historic Rutherford vineyard. Remarkably light on its feet for such a big wine, the 2013 offers exceptional depth and pedigree from the very first taste. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2013 manages to remain polished and vibrant. Drinking Window 2018-2038.”
          - 96 Points, Vinous - Antonio Galloni (9/2016)
May 2024:
“The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is very fine. It remains young and quite vibrant, with lovely floral overtones that add freshness throughout. This mid-weight, energetic Cabernet is terrific. In time, it may surpass the Rubicon, given its greater freshness. This is a fine showing. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2033.”
          - 95 Points, Vinous - Antonio Galloni (5/2024)
Winery price is $175. Looking online we found two listings, at $125 and $150. Not only does the special price we have today completely blow those all away, it, quite unbelievably, is less than release price for the current 2022 vintage!
Napa deals like this are few and far between. Don't blink on this one, as our supply will be gone in a flash.
2023 Epoch "Estate" White Blend
Willow Creek District, Paso Robles, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
“The 2023 White shimmers white gold with a lime tinge in the glass. It's vibrant and wickedly fresh, with citrus zest and crushed green apples enriched by raw almonds. This opens with a reverberation of tension as juicy acidity combines with sour melon and spice. Long and potent, yet clean, the 2023 finishes youthfully tense, literally calling the taster back to the glass. This is not to be missed. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2032.”
          - 93 Points, Vinous - Eric Guido (6/2024)

“The pale gold-hued 2023 White checks in as a mix of 51% Grenache Blanc, 40% Viognier, and 9% Roussanne, brought up in a mix of French oak (barrels and foudre, 10% new) and concrete eggs. It has a crisp citrus blossom, lime zest, and white flower-driven perfume and is medium-bodied, clean, crisp, and refreshing on the palate. I love its overall purity, and it's going to be about as versatile on the dinner table as they come.”
          - 93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (8/15/2024)

“A blend of 51% Grenache Blanc, 40% Viognier and 9% Roussanne from the Catapult and Paderewski Vineyards, the 2023 Epoch White leads with a rich, ripe nose of stone and orchard fruits accented with floral touches and exotic spices. The palate is similarly rich and textural before giving way to an herbal, perfumed finish that balances its ripeness admirably with focused, clean acidity. Drink Date: 2025 - 2030.”
          - 93 Points, Wine Advocate (9/19/2024)
