==========

2022 Argyle Sparkling Brut Rosé
Willamette Valley, Oregon
~~~~~~~~~~~
This delicious pink bubbly is built from 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay, the same grapes that define Champagne, and exactly what the Willamette Valley does best. Argyle has been dedicated to this style since Rollin Soles founded it. This is no fast-fashion piece!
Aged three years on its lees and finished with a nicely dry 4.25 g/L dosage, the 2022 Argyle Rosé offers alluring notes of candied strawberry, crushed stone minerals, fresh cherry, green pear and sliced sourdough. It's a clean, confident, complete sparkler that quite simply outdrinks a LOT of much more expensive wines.
This vintage was crafted by Nate Kostermann who stepped away last year, after more than 10 years leading Argyle's winemaking, to join a rising star near and dear to us: Granville. He went out just as his 2022 earned a never-better 93 Points from Wine Spectator:
“A creamy and succulent sparkler, showing refreshing flavors of raspberry, peach and orange blossoms that gather richness on the finish. Drink now.”
          - 93 Points, Wine Spectator (12/31/2025)
“Lovely pale pink color with aromas of Bing cherries, white roses, wild fennel and golden raspberries. Fresh and delicious. 3 years en tirage. 4.25 g/L dosage. Drink now.”
          - 93 Points, James Suckling (5/7/2026)
Wine Spectator quotes $30. Median online retail is $27. Our price makes this delicious sparkler even more of a can't miss!
Guigal Magnums!
2020 E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône
Rhône, France (1.5 liter)
~~~~~~~~~~~
Dang, this is more than an everyday Côtes du Rhône! These double-sized bottles from the legendary E. Guigal wear a Syrah-dominant profile that brings a little more gravitas and darker tones than most.

Properly old-school, its scrappy medium-bodied frame is flooded with integrated notes of blackberries, graphite, black cherry, smoked meat, rosemary, black cherries and root beer. We are big fans, and so are the critics..

"An impressive Cotes-du-Rhone with stacks of blackberry and black raspberry fruit wrapped around a core of moderately dry tannins on the bold palate. Long self-confidently dry finish. A cuvee of 50% syrah, 45% grenache and 5% mourvedre."
          - 90 Points, James Suckling (4/26/2023)

"Significantly impacted by its elevated Syrah content, Guigal's 2020 Cotes du Rhone boasts expressive aromas of blackberries and blueberries, backed by ample black cherries. It's full-bodied yet supple and fluid, easy to drink and enjoy, with enough black olive and earth notes to ground it and keep it from being a simple fruit bomb. Drink Date: 2024 - 2030."
          - 90 Points, Wine Advocate (5/16/2024)

"Medium-bodied and smoky, with wild cherry and raspberry layered with powdered graphite and charred mesquite. Reveals red tea and savory herb details through the snappy finish. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. Drink now."
          - 89 Points, Wine Spectator (12/15/2023)

"Modern, lifted and a bit heady, but attractive and evocative. Black cherry inkiness segues into a dense palate where all the fruit is crammed into a structured body with drying tannins. Herbs and stones hemmed in by a firm grip. A good all rounder. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2030."
          - 90 Points, Decanter (11/1/2023)

Median retail for 750ml bottles is $18. Today we're letting double-size bottles fly for just eight bucks more. That's a lot of Rhône goodness for the price!
