CABERNET BLOWOUT: $35 at the Winery. $12.99 at Vin Chicago!
Earlier this week, we took delivery of our final shipment from the now-closed Aquilini winery. Today, we bring you our last two CRAZY blowout deals on their pure, dense, powerful Red Mountain Cabs!
We lead off with a 2019 charmer that has strong reviews from Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnuck and James Suckling. While it is worthy of the $35 price it sold for at the winery, today you'll pay just thirteen bucks!
Next is the immensely impressive 2017 release of their $175 per bottle "Eroe" flagship. This "absolutely stunning" wine flies for just forty-three dollars. Scroll down for the details, then hammer down FAST on the Order Button below before both of them are gone for good.

2019 Aquilini "10,000 Hours" Cabernet Sauvignon
Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, Washington
~~~~~~~~~~~
Pouring a beautiful ruby red, this gorgeous Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon boasts pure, deep flavors of black cherry, blackberries, and red currant, all layered with nuances of fine green herbs and baking spice.
Packaged in a massively heavy bottle, it is medium-to-full in body, with a round texture, well-integrated tannins, plenty of fresh lift, and a long, complex finish. At its original $35 price, we'd have no complaints. At today’s crazy blowout, the value is off the chart!
Two days after being opened, our sample bottle is still expanding. Awarding scores up to 92 points, the critics write:
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is better [than the Red Blend], with more balance as well as complexity. Red and black fruits, toasted spice, dried flowers, and spicy oak all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a round, supple, elegant texture, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Drink it over the coming decade. Maturity: 2022 - 2032."
- 91 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (7/9/2022)
“Generous yet well-structured, with layered black currant, bay leaf and savory spice flavors that gather tension and tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,100 cases made."
- 90 Points, Wine Spectator (12/31/2022)
“Floral aromas, with blueberries and hints of vanilla that follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Refined and delicious already, but better in a year or two."
- 92 Points, James Suckling (3/28/2022)
As mentioned, the winery sold this gem for $35. Looking online we found listings at $27 and $58. Our supply will be gobbled up in a flash!
2017 Aquilini “Eroe” Cabernet Sauvignon
Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, Washington
~~~~~~~~~~~
Coming up on a decade of age, this lavish, elegant flagship is a powerhouse. Selling for nearly $200 at the winery, it is a dense, deep and concentrated Cabernet with gobs of cassis and blackberry flavors accented by complexities of French oak influenced spices, mocha, roast coffee, and vanilla that continue all the way through the long, luxurious finish.
"An absolutely stunning bottle that deserves to be in the cellar next to cult Cabernets. Bravo!"
- Wine Advocate October 2021
There is serious, serious intensity to this 100 case production thriller. Our first glass was hard to resist. A few hours in the decanter softened the youthful, grippy tannins and made it even better. It is simply ridiculous that we're able to bring it to you for $42.99. Wow!
“The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon EROE is new to the lineup this year and displays a deep ruby core and electric magenta edge. Aromas of crème de cassis, black cherry and dusty plum sway with fine, brown baking spices marked with elegant vanilla, cardamom and nutmeg nuances. Full-bodied and generously layered, the wine is still tight, with oak tannins that will loosen with time in the bottle, a luxurious mouthfeel and subtle flavors of bitter dark chocolate. The mid-palate is tightly wound and will be incredible with food. Concluding with an ever-evolving finish and firm tannic edge, it’s an absolutely stunning bottle that deserves to be in the cellar next to cult Cabernets. Bravo! Its gorgeousness beckons me back for more! Drink Date: 2023 - 2034."
- 94 Points, Wine Advocate (10/14/2021)
