One of the most romantic regions in all of France, Provence offers a beautiful landscape with mountains, flowing rivers, incredible coastlines and old villages. It's an area known for relaxation and simplicity of life.

It is also the spiritual home for Rosé, producing nearly half of France's total production. Made at the century old Les Maîtres Vignerons de Vidauban cooperative, Domaine de Cristol is a four hectare limestone-soiled property in the foothills of the Massif des Maures mountain range.

Using their Cinsault (43%), Grenache (33%), Syrah (20%), and Rolle (4%) vines, they make just this single pale pink colored wine, pressing and fermenting in stainless steel to maintain freshness.

Notes of wild strawberries, red berries, white peach, and citrus zest get the palate salivating, and a crisp mineral quality and lingering finish keep you coming back eagerly for another sip. This will be great on the patio this weekend and paired with grilled shrimp, chicken, salads, goat cheese and light pasta dishes. The hotter the weather gets - and the next few weeks are forecast to be scorching - the better this will taste!

For ages, they sold their entire crop to Pol Roger, one of our favorite Champagne houses. Starting a few years ago, Anthony began holding back a small percentage of the fruit to make a tiny quantity his own wine.

Made entirely from the 2021 vintage, this texturally fascinating 100% Pinot Noir Champagne literally stopped us in our tracks. Simultaneously, it is incredibly complex and totally delightful to drink.

It is rare to find a Champagne that has so much going on, yet is such a pure joy to experience. Have you ever heard the expression that the "bubbles dance across the palate." Well, these bubbles really do dance!

Anthony uses a lower temperature than most for his secondary fermentation. At 13 degrees Celcius, it takes quite a bit longer for the process to occur, but he is in no hurry, and feels that the resulting finesse is well worth his time and effort. As small as his production is, he can afford to take to the time to get everything done EXACTLY as he wants.
