We're not sure if we've ever featured a Pinot Noir with such high ratings - and certainly not for this price!

The 2022 Martin Woods "Koosah Vineyard" Pinot Noir is a remarkable wine, and it comes from a quite remarkable place. In this video, shot from the top of Koosah Vineyard, Evan explains what makes the site, and the resulting wine, so very special.

Each awarding 98-Point ratings, Jeb Dunnuck and the International Wine Report write...

"Youthful ruby in hue, the 2022 Pinot Noir Koosah Vineyard offers notes of potpourri, wild herbs, mossy earth, wild berries, preserved raspberries, and a clean note of stony earth. The palate is outstanding and pure, with refined tannins and a crystalline feel to the fruit profile. This is just a hell of a good, delicious wine now, and it’s going to drink well for a long time to come. Drink 2024-2046. Maturity: 2024 - 2046.”
          - 98 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (8/6/2024)

"The 2022 Martin Woods Pinot Noir from Koosah Vineyard is a true standout, showcasing a glowing neon ruby core with a subtle bluish rim. This vintage bursts with rich and deep fruit aromas of mountain blueberries, complemented by green peppercorns, sassafras, dried rosemary, and crushed walnut shells. The depth of fruit is beautifully balanced by an underlying tension, creating a captivating interplay on the palate. Medium tannins and moderate acidity frame the wine, while the long, lingering finish leaves a lasting impression. This is undoubtedly the best wine from the Martin Woods 2022 vintage, poised for greatness with a bit more time in the bottle. Better to enjoy from 2025, with potential lasting through 2040.”
-98 Points, International Wine Report (8/2024)

You'll want to give this beautifully layered Pinot Noir several hours in your decanter to get the most out of it. We finished off our sample bottle with friends last night - two days after opening it - and the layers of flavor and structure were still unfolding. While you will love this now, our suggestion is stash away most of your supply for another 5 or 6 years!

Ageworthy Pinot Noir of this caliber at this price is an incredible rarity. Looking online we found three listings. Our price beats them all.

We've been able to talk Evan into sending us a few 1.5 liter bottles of the previous vintage of his Koosah Pinot Noir! Silky and elegant, with gentle red berry fruits leading to a restrained palate of earth and spice, this texturally thrilling red drinks like Chambolle-Musigny and is definitely worth stashing away for at least a few more years!

"The medium red 2021 Pinot Noir Koosah Vineyard is outstanding and really in a great place, with notes of pristine ripe cherries, raspberries, preserved roses, and all the layers of the previous wines. It’s seamless on the palate, with plush, velvety tannins, clean, even acidity, and a lovely, tapered finish, which floats away ever so slowly. This is another outstanding wine from this site, which was purchased by Resonance (Jadot) in 2022. Drink it over the next 20 years. Maturity 2024 - 2044.”
